Prodigy Provincial Program

Lead by Garry Cahill: Coach of a player in top 100 for 11 years, has coached multiple grand slam players at both senior mens, ladies and junior level. He is recognise internationally as an expert in talent development, having developed many players from youth to professional level. Garry has successfully developed Irish players to grand slam level as well as leading the Irish Davis and Fed cup teams during memorable times in Irish tennis history.  Garry holds both an international practical experience in developing talent but is also a published researcher and international speaker on talent development in Tennis. 

Why Prodigy Provincial? Being from outside the capital should should not limit childrens’s opportunities to become professional tennis players.

Our Talent Hotspot. Prodigy Tennis has become a hotspot of Irish Tennis talent, with many of our players now competing at the highest level of Tennis Europe. We want to provide children from Donegal to Cork, Westport to Bray with the opportunity to tap into some of the expertise we have developed.

Ireland is compact: The good news Ireland is compact, therefore, there is no reason why Irish Tennis parents cannot avail of expertise or facilities to help their child develop as players.

So what? Prodigy Provincial will now offer young talents between the age of 7 and 11 the opportunity to visit our training centre, either with their coach ( or alone) to avail of development session. This will include technical development advice, physical expertise, parental planning support and the experience of been within a high performance culture to gain a greater understanding of the values needed to evolve within the sport.

So who can apply?

-Children that are taking he sport seriously that already play at a competitive level, but have the motivation to progress within the sport.

-Players must be of a suitable level and may be asked to provide video footage in advance.

-Coaches that feel they would like some support with their players development or just another set of eyes!

What will it cost? Players will be charged per day and for the services provided. This will be agreed on application and acceptance.
